PAX In-House Content Producer
Role: Content Producer
Location: Melbourne
Employment Type: Part-time (0.6 FTE)
Reports to: Leadership Team
Team: PAX — In-house
PAX works behind the scenes with businesses — advising them, building with them, and helping them become genuinely better at what they do. Most of that work has never been shared publicly. This is a great time to join as we build a real content and media engine around it.
We're looking for a Content Producer to own the capture, edit and push-out of content that tells great stories and actually moves people to act — content that grows PAX's own channel, and content delivered directly for PAX's clients, partners and the new businesses we help get off the ground.
This is a seat on the PAX team, not a freelance or agency arrangement. You'll help shape what gets made and why, working closely with PAX's leadership team, and you'll see the work through end to end — from the idea, to the shoot and edit, to the impact it has once it's out in the world.
About the role
Capture: Film and photograph across PAX's own content and client and partner projects — behind-the-scenes, founder moments, launches, testimonials, educational content, events and community moments — including planned photography for campaigns and promotional features.
Edit: Turn raw footage into short-form video and static content built for how people actually watch, read and scroll.
Copywriting: Write engaging copy and captions for social posts, EDMs and campaign materials, consistent with our brand tone and voice.
Storytelling + CTA: Balance strong narrative and brand storytelling with a clear call to action — every piece of content should do a job, whether that's driving podcast listens, email sign-ups, new business leads, reading an article, or awareness for a client or partner.
Build PAX's channel: Grow PAX's own channel — social, podcast, website — turning the thinking behind our consulting work into stories worth following in their own right.
Client & partner delivery: Deliver content projects for PAX's clients, partners and the new businesses we help launch, from concept through to a finished, published piece.
Publish, distribute & paid: Own scheduling and publishing across PAX and partner social channels, the website and podcast platforms, plus paid social and EDM campaigns — tailoring format and tone to each audience.
Lead magnets: Build and populate lead magnets and capture mechanisms — email opt-ins, downloadable guides, landing pages — that convert an audience into an owned database.
Repurpose: Adapt a single shoot or story into multiple cuts and formats, getting the most out of every capture session.
Collaborate: Work with PAX leadership to shape content plans for both PAX's own brand and client and partner projects — contributing ideas, not just executing briefs.
Stay current: Bring a sharp, active read on the social media landscape, formats and platform behaviour, and apply it across everything you touch.
What you’ll do
2–4 years' experience as a content producer, videographer, or in a social/content marketing role.
Strong, hands-on filming, photography and editing skills.
Proficiency in photography, video and graphic design editing tools
A genuine feel for social-native storytelling — hooks, pacing, captions, trends — with the judgement to build in a clear purpose without flattening the story.
Experience with lead magnets, email capture, or audience-building tools such as Mailchimp, Squarespace or landing pages.
Experience monitoring performance with tools such as Meta Ads Manager and Google Analytics.
Genuine curiosity about how businesses work — understanding the "why" behind a brief, not just executing it.
Comfortable working independently on location, with people across all levels of seniority.
Bonus: exposure to hospitality — an understanding of venue life or the industry's rhythms will help you settle in fast.
What you’ll bring
PAX's own channels and partner content feel consistently fresh, on-brand and story-led.
Content is clearly converting — measurable growth in business leads, social engagement, podcast listens, email sign-ups, and client/partner awareness.
Clients and partners see PAX-produced content as a genuine value-add to their own public presence.
Content has a distinct, sharp energy that stands out rather than reading as generic brand content.
PAX's own channel builds a real, growing audience in its own right — not just a feed of podcast promotion.
Success looks like
Our mission is to enhance businesses and enrich community, and this role is where that second half comes to life. Alongside the work we do for clients and partners, PAX's own channels exist to share real, useful advice freely with anyone who needs it — whether or not they're in a position to work with us directly.
You'll be part of the team, with real input into what gets made, not a vendor waiting on a brief. You'll help build something that's genuinely PAX's own, get variety through client and partner projects, and see the tangible difference your content makes — for PAX, and for the businesses and community we work alongside.
